The Name
"Many sources derive it from Hebrew,
literally translated as 'My God has answered me.'
It is composed of three Hebrew elements:
EL, meaning GOD;
ANA, meaning ANSWERED;
and the Yud, located after EL, indicating first person possession.
Biblical Source:
And he erected there an altar,
and called it El- [God]
elohe-Israel [El, the God of the Patriarch Israel]
(Genesis 33:20).
And Efron answered [ana] Abraham,
saying unto him...
(Gen. 23:14)."

The Story
During the week of Church in A Day (last week of April), another miracle occurred in our family. Eliana was born to my older daughter (Kara) and son-in-law (Mike). Without going too deeply into the history, just let me write that the pregnancy was a wonderful surprise. Even though it was high-risk, required a specialist in high-risk pregnancies and ended with "Ellie's" premature birth, everyone has done well by God's grace. Kara does not care to be in pictures. So, I am mostly sharing photos other than those in which she is present. (Hope I did a good job, Kara!)
